背面描述 Central field features a stylized depiction of a multi-tiered tower, likely representing the Martinskirche or a prominent landmark tower of Amberg, rendered in a simplified architectural style. Flanking the tower are small six-pointed star or asterisk ornaments, two on either side at mid-height. The tower is framed by two curved bands of radiating dashes forming an oval border around the central device. The dates '1421' and '1921' are inscribed to the left and right respectively along the outer field, commemorating the 500th anniversary of a significant event in Amberg's civic history. A small decorative element appears at the base below the tower.

附加信息

Amberg's porcelain notgeld was produced by the Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur in 1921, one of several German municipal authorities that turned to ceramic currency when postwar metal shortages and inflation made conventional coinage impractical. Brown-glazed pieces like this one were issued alongside other color variants, the differences in glaze corresponding to denomination. The material itself was a practical solution born of necessity — Bavaria had porcelain infrastructure; it did not have spare nickel.
