| Obverse description | The obverse is set against a pale grey underprint of repeated local place names and text fragments. The word 'Gutschein' is rendered in large decorative black and gold Fraktur script across the upper portion, with stylised pine branch vignettes in the upper corners. A central guilloche-bordered circular medallion carries the denomination numeral '25' in blue. To the left, a validity clause in Gothic script states the note expires three months after public announcement; to the right, the issuing authority 'Ballenstedt im Harz' and date '28.
