This is a cooperative notgeld issue — six small Thuringian towns pooling resources to produce a single emergency note series rather than each commissioning their own. The towns involved — Hildburghausen, Eisfeld, Themar, Römhild, Heldburg, and Ummerstadt — all fell within the former Duchy of Saxe-Hildburghausen's historical territory, which likely made the administrative cooperation easier to organize.
