| 备注 |
Bützow's 1922 Notgeld issue came from a town of under 5,000 residents scrambling to fill the coin shortage that had crippled small transactions across Germany since the war. Municipal notgeld of this denomination was a local stopgap, not a banking instrument — Stadt Bützow had no issuing authority in any formal monetary sense, simply the practical necessity and the legal tolerance that Weimar authorities extended to thousands of similar municipalities.
Egon Tschirch was a Güstrow-based artist whose regional work is well documented in Mecklenburg. His involvement elevates this above the mass-produced notgeld churned out by commercial lithographers for dozens of anonymous towns simultaneously.
