Beschrijving voorzijde Central vignette in black ink within a yellow-bordered rectangular frame shows a lone figure standing with arms outstretched amid tall birch trees, silhouetted against a radiant sunburst over a body of water in an expressive woodcut style. Denomination numerals '25' in large bold yellow and black typeface flank the vignette at left and right, each surmounted by the abbreviation 'PF'. The lower portion carries the issuing authority inscription and a validity clause in a framed panel, with the place names 'OSTSEEBAD' at lower left and 'BRUNSHAUPTEN' at lower right, while a Low German proverb in Gothic script runs across the top margin.

Opmerkingen

Brunshaupten — the small Baltic coastal resort now known as Kühlungsborn — issued this note during the Kleingeldersatz crisis of 1921–1923, when chronic coin shortages forced thousands of German municipalities to print their own low-denomination scrip. The Gemeindevorstand had no banking infrastructure; these were essentially administrative stopgaps, authorized locally and redeemable only within the issuing community.

Resort towns like Brunshaupten often produced notgeld in small print runs tied to the tourist season, which means survival rates vary sharply between issues from the same locality.
