| Obverse description | Central vignette shows a polychrome view of Wörlitz with the prominent Gothic church tower rising above rooftops and surrounding trees, printed in deep red-brown and green tones against a stippled red background. A decorative scroll cartouche at the top carries the denomination '25 Pfennig 25' in bold blackletter type, while the lower portion bears the issuing inscription 'Notgeld der Stadt Wörlitz' in large ornate Fraktur script on a green underprint. Two manuscript facsimile signatures of municipal officials appear at the foot, attributed to 'Der Magistrat' and 'Der Stellv. Vorst.' |
