Schobüll is a coastal village in Schleswig-Holstein with a population that has historically hovered around a few hundred — making it one of the smaller municipalities to have issued Notgeld during the inflationary spiral of the early Weimar period. The 1921 date places this firmly in the municipal small-change emergency, when coin shortages and currency instability pushed even tiny communities to print their own fractional paper. Brandemann's signature is the sole authenticating mark; no countersignature, no treasury stamp.

Survivorship is high for Schobüll Notgeld generally, as collectors absorbed most of the print run before redemption.
