Ditfurt is a small village in the Harz foothills, and its 1921 Notgeld issue belongs to the vast wave of municipal emergency currency that flooded Germany as central coinage disappeared from circulation during the postwar inflation spiral. Hundreds of comparable Gemeinden issued their own 25-Pfennig notes during this period, and Oscar Grupe in nearby Quedlinburg was a regional printer who handled a significant volume of such commissions.

The DeNG reference catalogues two known varieties (0275.1-2/4), suggesting minor printing differences between runs — worth checking the serial block or typesetting details against a reference copy.
