| Description de l’avers | The obverse carries a detailed letterpress vignette of the Wriezen harbour scene, with a bascule bridge, a moored river vessel, and the town's skyline with church spires receding into the distance; sailing boats are visible on the calm water to the right. Above the vignette, two lines of verse in Gothic script read "Hafen ist Glück, Hafen ist Frieden, O Heimatstadt, o Deutschland! Wann sind sie Dir beschieden?" followed by the validity notice dated Wriezen, 1. Oktober 1921, countersigned by Der Magistrat with the manuscript signature of Haase. The denomination "Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig" is set in large ornate Gothic lettering across the lower portion, the whole enclosed within a decorative scrollwork border. |
