正面铭文 25 PF. MYLAU DER STADTRAT
背面描述 The reverse is similarly arranged in three vertical panels: the central panel carries a townscape vignette of Mylau, while the two flanking panels illustrate scenes from the local textile industry. A poetic inscription in regional dialect runs across the note referencing the River Göltzsch and a longing for the prosperity of former times.

备注

Mylau is a small textile town in the Vogtland, and this 1921 Pfennig-denomination notgeld was issued during the acute coin shortage that plagued postwar Germany — metal had been hoarded and the Reichsbank could not keep small change in circulation. Municipal authorities across the country stepped in, and Mylau was one of hundreds of Vogtland and Saxon communities that turned to Carl Werner in nearby Reichenbach, who handled an enormous volume of regional emergency paper during this period.

The DeNG reference distinguishes four sub-varieties, likely differentiated by serial numbering or minor typographic changes between print runs.
