正面描述 The obverse is printed in brown, blue, and ochre on cream paper, with a geometric guilloche underprint of interlocking diamond and lattice motifs filling the field. At centre, the civic shield of Coblenz — a black cross bearing a small crown at its junction on a white ground — is set within a hexagonal frame. Denomination numerals '25' appear in circular cartouches to left and right, while the issuer's title 'STADT COBLENZ' is inscribed in bold Gothic lettering across the upper panel. A two-column text panel at the bottom carries the validity clause and the date of issue, 1 May 1921, signed by the Oberbürgermeister.

备注

Koblenz issued this 25 Pfennig note during the height of Germany's Kleingeldnot — the fractional coin shortage that plagued municipalities across the Weimar Republic in the early 1920s. With Reichsmünzen effectively vanishing from circulation due to hoarding and metal scarcity, towns were left to paper over the gap themselves, literally. J. Adolf Schwarz of Lindenberg im Allgäu was a minor regional printer responsible for a number of these municipal emergency issues, well removed from the better-known Notgeld specialists concentrated in Berlin or Leipzig.

The DeNG reference places this within a closely grouped series of four Koblenz types from the same issue.
