| Obverse description | Blue and yellow Notgeld note with a decorative border enclosing the central vignette of the arms of the Grafschaft Brehna — a quartered shield with diagonal black-and-gold stripes and red initials — framed by a teal rectangular panel inscribed 'Grafschaft Brene'. The denomination '25 Pfennig' appears in large yellow Gothic numerals at left and right, flanked by stylised wheat-ear ornaments, with the issuing authority 'Notgeld der Stadt Brehna' in Gothic lettering across the top header.
