Opmerkingen

Parchim's 25 Pfennig notgeld from 1921 belongs to the second major wave of German municipal emergency currency — issued not because of wartime disruption but because Reichsbank coin simply wasn't reaching small-denomination circulation fast enough during the postwar economic strain. Towns across Mecklenburg printed their own stop-gap issues with varying degrees of civic pride and varying degrees of printing quality.

The DeNG reference 1045.1-2/3 indicates multiple color or text variants within what is essentially the same base design, a common feature of Parchim's output and worth confirming before cataloging as a single lot.
