| Vorderseitenbeschreibung | Letterpress vignette in blue ink across the upper portion presents a panoramic townscape of Neuruppin as it appeared following the fire of 1787, framed by decorative foliate scrollwork at the upper corners. The municipal eagle coat of arms is centred below the townscape, flanked by two text columns detailing acceptance by the Stadthauptkasse and Stadtspar- und Girokasse, with the Stadtgemeinde's redemption guarantee dated August 1921. The issuing authority block 'DER MAGISTRAT' appears with two manuscript signatures beneath, and the printer's imprint runs along the lower frame edge. |

| Rückseitenbeschreibung | Blue letterpress vignette occupies the central field with a view of the Tempelgarten in Neuruppin, centred on a classical garden pavilion approached by a tree-lined path, with two period-costumed figures flanking the scene. A curved ribbon banner across the lower portion of the vignette carries the denomination inscription, with the municipal eagle shield at its centre, and the numeral '25' at the lower left; the label 'TEMPEL GARTEN' runs along the bottom border. Below the frame, 'Serie 3' is printed to the lower left, a stamped serial number appears to the lower right, and the artist's signature 'S. Alheit' is visible within the lower-left corner of the vignette. |

Neuruppin's Notgeld series was designed by S. Alheit and printed locally by E. Buchbinder under the H. Duske imprint — an unusual case of a municipality keeping the entire production chain within its own town. Most German Notgeld of this period was farmed out to larger commercial printers in Berlin or Leipzig, so local printing was a deliberate choice, whether from civic pride or simple logistics.
Neuruppin is best known as the birthplace of Theodor Fontane and Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Whether the town leaned into that heritage for its Notgeld designs is worth examining before purchase.
