| Vorderseitenbeschreibung | The obverse is printed in blue, ochre, and red-brown tones, with a geometric foliate border pattern forming the outer frame. A blue central panel bears the denomination '25 PFENNIG' in bold gothic lettering at the top, followed by the redemption text and issue date in script, above two facsimile signatures of Der Magistrat. At the lower centre, the municipal coat of arms of Katscher — a shield with a rampant lion supported by two scrollwork cartouches — is printed in polychrome. A banner inscription at the top reads '600 JÄHRIGES JUBILÄUM DER STADT KATSCHER O/S', commemorating the city's 600th anniversary, with serial numbers in blue cartouches at lower left and right. |

| Rückseitenbeschreibung | The reverse is printed in blue, ochre, and red-brown tones, with a tripartite layout. The central vignette illustrates a weaver at a large hand loom in a workshop interior, rendered in a detailed letterpress style. Flanking the central scene on both left and right are diamond-shaped underprint panels each bearing the denomination '25 PFENNIG' in bold numerals. A dark blue banner at the top carries the first half of a German textile proverb in white lettering, continued on a matching banner at the foot of the note. |

Katscher — known today as Kietrz, in southwestern Poland — issued this note during the Oberschlesien plebiscite crisis of 1921, when the region's political future between Germany and Poland was genuinely unresolved. Small municipalities across Upper Silesia printed their own Kleingeldscheine to cover the chronic coin shortage that had persisted since the war, and Katscher was among dozens of Silesian towns doing exactly this in the months surrounding the March plebiscite.
The town voted overwhelmingly to remain German. The League of Nations ultimately partitioned the region in October 1921, assigning Katscher to Germany — where it stayed until 1945.
