| Obverse description | The obverse is set against a sage-green Art Nouveau underprint of scrolling foliate arabesques filling the entire field, with four small red diamond ornaments at the cardinal points of the border. A large central oval cartouche, framed by a black ruled border, carries the bold red numeral '25' in decorative script. Encircling the cartouche in cursive Fraktur script is the redemption clause noting acceptance by the Spar- und Darlehnskasse und Gemeindekasse Gnarrenburg. Two small signature boxes at lower left and lower right bear the manuscript signatures of the Gemeindevorsteher and two Gemeindevertreter respectively, with the printer's imprint running along the bottom margin. |
