| 正面描述 | The centre of the note is occupied by a circular vignette presenting a bird's-eye panoramic view of Dornburg as it appeared in 1600, with the castle complex rising above terraced hillsides, captioned 'Dornburg 1600'. Flanking the central vignette on the left and right are bold red and black numerals '25' above the denomination 'Pfennig' in Gothic script, with a heraldic shield bearing a pilgrim figure at lower left and the Dornburg civic arms at lower right. Below the vignette, a banner panel carries a three-line poetic inscription from the portal of the Goethe-Schloss, while the lower left panel notes the validity period and the lower right panel bears the issuing authority signature of the Bürgermeister dated 1921. |

| 备注 |
Dornburg's 1921 Notgeld issue belongs to the wave of municipal emergency currency that flooded Thuringia as small-denomination Reichsmark coins vanished from circulation entirely. The town sits on the Saale above Jena and is better known for its three Renaissance and Baroque castles than for any monetary history — which is precisely why these notes were produced locally rather than absorbed into a larger district issue.
The DeNG reference places this as the first series from Dornburg, distinguishing it from later printings that occasionally varied in paper stock or overprint color.
