Obverse description Typographically bold Notgeld note printed in dark blue-black on light paper, with the denomination spelled out in Gothic blackletter script as 'Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig' across the upper register, flanked on each side by solid dark cartouches bearing '25 Pfg' in white numerals and letters. The central field carries the issuing authority 'Gemeinde Ebersdorf (Reuss)' in large decorative script, with the issue date 'ausgegeben am ersten Juli 1921' and the validity clause 'gültig bis vier Wochen nach erfolgtem Aufruf' below. Ornamental rosette vignettes appear in the lower corners, the printer's imprint 'Hofkunstanstalt Löffler & Co., Greiz' is at lower left, and the designer's name 'Otto Ortlishausen 21' at lower right; two motto banners frame the composition at top and bottom.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in dark blue-black and pale lavender tones, with four bold ornamental corner panels containing intricate foliate and grotesque-mask vignettes. The central vignette presents a woodcut-style illustration of a mourning female figure seated before a war memorial set against a backdrop of birch trees, encircled by the inscription 'DER GEFALLENEN SÖHNE DENKT DIE DEUTSCHE MUTTER.' The denomination numeral '25' appears in large open figures on each lateral margin; 'LUFTKURORT' is lettered in bold sans-serif across the top, 'DENKMAL FÜR DIE GEFALLENEN' beneath the central vignette, and 'EBERSDORF (REUSS)' in bold block capitals along the lower border.
