| Description de l’avers | Printed in red-orange on white paper, the obverse is divided vertically into two panels by a decorative column of interlocking circles. The left panel bears the municipal coat of arms of Harzgerode — a turreted castle above a gateway with flanking foliate supporters — above the city name HARZGERODE in bold letterpress at the foot; the serial number is typeset in black at the upper left. The right panel carries a four-line verse inscription at the top, a large numeral '25' as the central denomination vignette, and below it the validity clause, issuing authority HARZGERODE, date DEM 7. JULI 1921, and a facsimile signature of Der Magistrat; the printer's imprint LOUIS KOCH · HALBERSTADT appears along the bottom margin. |

| Description du revers | Printed in brown on light blue paper, the reverse is arranged in a symmetrical triptych within a ruled border, surmounted by the city name HARZGERODE in a solid dark header band. The flanking outer panels each carry the numeral '25' in large white figures above a decorative vignette of stylised tulip blossoms, framed by zigzag geometric borders. The central panel holds a finely rendered letterpress vignette of a historic half-timbered street scene identified as the Altes Haus, with a domed church tower visible in the background, the caption ALTES HAUS appearing in the lower margin of the central panel. |
