The central panel bears the Zerbst municipal coat of arms — a red brick gate with four towers over a gateway flanked by heraldic shields — set against a green foliate wreath, with the word 'Gutschein' in Gothic script below and a serial number beneath it; the printer's imprint 'Louis Koch Halberstadt' appears at the foot.
