| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three vertical panels printed in red, green, and black on cream paper, with a red border frame. The central panel bears the Zerbst municipal coat of arms — a red brick gate with four towers over a gateway flanked by heraldic shields — set against a green foliate wreath, with the word 'Gutschein' in Gothic script below and a serial number beneath it; the printer's imprint 'Louis Koch Halberstadt' appears at the foot. The left panel carries a vignette of a standing armoured knight in a arched niche surrounded by stylised vegetables, with the denomination '25 Pfg' at upper left; the right panel mirrors this composition with a female figure at a fountain in a similar niche and the denomination repeated at upper right. The lower corners carry the issue date 'Zerbst, den 1. Juli 1921' and the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' with a manuscript signature, while the left lower corner bears the validity clause in Gothic script. |
