正面描述 Yellow-cream ground printed in dark blue and black. The town name DAHLENBURG appears in bold block letters within a light blue banner across the top. Centre field carries the large stylised numeral '25' in ornate letterpress, above a ribbon cartouche inscribed PFENNIG. The left lateral panel, printed on a dark blue ground, contains a diamond-shaped vignette with the denomination '25 Pf' and, below it, the circular municipal seal of Dahlenburg dated ANO 1637, bearing a town-gate motif and the legend DES RAHTSWAFFEN S.V. DALENBURG. The right lateral panel repeats the diamond denomination vignette and carries a rhyming collector's verse. Below centre, the issue date 'Dahlenburg, 15. Sept. 1921' and the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' appear alongside a manuscript signature.

备注

Dahlenburg is a small market town in Lower Saxony, and this 25 Pfennig notgeld was issued by its municipal magistrate during the severe coin shortage that plagued Germany in the early Weimar years. Local authorities across the country were effectively forced into emergency issuance — the Reichsbank could not supply enough small-denomination coinage to keep ordinary commerce moving.

Franz Scherrer in Hanover was a minor regional printer who handled notgeld contracts for several Lower Saxon municipalities during this period. The single signature, Jonas, almost certainly belongs to a municipal official rather than a bank signatory.
