Frose is a small village in Saxony-Anhalt, and its 1921 Notgeld issue is exactly what you'd expect from a municipality of that scale — a modest emergency scrip printed locally by Louis Koch of Halberstadt to cover the chronic small-change shortage that plagued Germany in the early Weimar years. The Reichsbank's inability to keep fractional coinage in circulation drove hundreds of tiny communities to commission their own issues, most of which were redeemed and pulped within months.

Koch handled a considerable volume of regional Notgeld work out of Halberstadt during this period, which means print quality is competent but unremarkable.
