| Opis awersu | The obverse is printed in red and grey on white paper, with a fine lathe-work guilloche underprint covering the entire field. At centre top, a circular vignette contains the large numeral '25' above the denomination 'PFENNIGE' in an arched band. Three decorative fan-shaped ornaments with red mosaic infill flank the upper corners and centre. The bold Gothic and sans-serif letterpress inscription 'GUTSCHEIN DER STADT KAHLA S-A' dominates the middle register, below which 'DER STADTRAT' precedes two manuscript facsimile signatures. The issue and expiry dates appear in a single line at the foot: 'Ausgegeben 15. August 1921. Verfalltag 31. Dezember 21.' |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse carries a colourful pictorial design in blue, grey, green, and red. A vignette at lower left shows a hilltop castle or fortified town rendered in a simplified folk-art style against a blue nocturnal sky scattered with white stars. The upper field is occupied by outline drawings of porcelain tableware — a tureen, teapot, cup, saucer, and plates — referencing Kahla's celebrated porcelain industry. Two sweeping curved banner inscriptions in black read 'GUTSCHEIN DER STADT' and 'KAHLA S-A', while a red italic slogan in the centre states 'Kahla versorgt für billig Geld Mit Porzellan die ganze Welt.' The denomination '25' with a Pfennig symbol appears in large ornamental figures at lower right, rendered in black with red and cream outlines. |
