正面描述 Multicolour Notgeld note printed in black, blue, yellow, and red on cream paper, with a bold black header panel bearing the Gothic-script title inscription. The central vignette presents the arms of Naumburg — a red key and sword crossed on a guilloche-patterned ground — set within an ornate oval cartouche of acanthus scrollwork and gilt foliate ornament, flanked on each side by a denomination numeral '25' within its own decorative shield against a blue vine-leaf underprint. Below the vignette, a two-line validity text in Kurrent script runs across the lower portion, with a serial number at lower left and a manuscript signature of the Magistrat at lower right.

备注

Naumburg's 1921 Notgeld series was among the more ambitious municipal issues of the inflation period — the city commissioned Heinz Schiestl, a Munich-based graphic artist with a strong line in medievalist woodcut-influenced illustration, rather than defaulting to whatever local printer's house style was available. Gebrüder Parcus, also Munich-based, handled the printing, which kept design and production under the same roof and shows in the consistency of the series.

Schiestl's work for various Notgeld issuers during this period was prolific enough that collectors sometimes seek his commissions as a body of work rather than by issuer.
