正面描述 Central vignette presents a view of Pretzsch Castle rising above a treeline, rendered in a detailed multicolour letterpress style with red-tiled roofs against a cloud-filled sky. The castle vignette is framed by ornate foliate scroll borders in olive green on either side. Below the vignette, the denomination "Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig" is inscribed in red Gothic script, followed by the payment obligation text and the issue date "Pretzsch, den 10. Juli 1921" in black, with a manuscript signature of the Magistrat to the lower right.

背面描述 The reverse is divided into three vertical panels: the left panel carries the large numeral "25" in dark green within a hexagonal cartouche set against a red decorative scrollwork ground; the central panel displays the municipal coat of arms of Pretzsch — an oak sapling with acorns on a grassy mound within a shield — in green and cream; the right panel bears the abbreviated denomination "Pfg" in large green script within a matching cartouche. Below the coat of arms, the issuing authority inscription appears in red block capitals, with the printer's imprint in small type at the lower right margin.

备注

Pretzsch is a small town on the Elbe in Saxony-Anhalt, and this note is a product of the Kleingeldersatz crisis that gripped Germany in 1921 as chronic coin shortages forced municipal treasuries, merchants, and even private businesses to print their own fractional currency. The Stadtkasse — the municipal cashier's office — was among the more legitimate issuers, with actual civic authority behind the paper, which was not always the case during this period.

Buchdruckerei W. Höffler was a local print shop, and the note was produced and redeemable entirely within Pretzsch itself. Collector interest in this series is driven largely by the hyperlocal nature of the issuer rather than any printing distinction.
