Janetzky is unusual — most town-level Notgeld of this period was farmed out to specialist printers like Giesecke & Devrient or Koenig & Bauer, so local authorship suggests either civic pride or simple logistics in a town of Finsterwalde's modest size.
The dual signatures of Wehle and Haferland represent the standard dual-authorization requirement imposed on municipal issuers to prevent fraudulent overprinting — a real concern in 1921 as the inflationary spiral accelerated.
