| Obverse description | Green-tinted note printed in dark ink in a bold Art Nouveau woodcut style. The upper-left quadrant bears a large denomination numeral '25' above the text 'PFENNIG', while at the lower left appears the municipal coat of arms of Ansbach — a shield with wavy lines and three fish — flanked by the foundation and jubilee years '1221' and '1921'.
