The upper portion presents a dramatic silhouette of the Stade city skyline — dominated by the tall spire of St. Cosmae church and flanking rooftops — set against a radiant sunburst underprint of diverging rays. Denomination numerals '25' appear at upper left and lower right flanking the legend 'FÜNFUNDZWANZIG 25 PFENNIG', with the cursive title 'Gutschein der Stadt Stade' arching across the top; the lower register contains two text panels divided by the city's heraldic shield bearing a key, with issue date 'Stade, am 1. Mai 1920', signatories 'Der Magistrat' and 'Die Bürgervorsteher', and validity text citing §§ 793, 794, 796, and 797 of the Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch. |
