| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black and amber-orange on white paper, with a bold Art Nouveau-influenced composition. The upper portion presents a dramatic silhouette of the Stade city skyline — dominated by the tall spire of St. Cosmae church and flanking rooftops — set against a radiant sunburst underprint of diverging rays. Denomination numerals '25' appear at upper left and lower right flanking the legend 'FÜNFUNDZWANZIG 25 PFENNIG', with the cursive title 'Gutschein der Stadt Stade' arching across the top; the lower register contains two text panels divided by the city's heraldic shield bearing a key, with issue date 'Stade, am 1.
