| Obverse description | Plain cream paper ground with an overall red ornamental guilloche underprint forming the background. The heading in Gothic Fraktur script reads 'Gutschein der Stadt Flensburg über Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig', followed by a lengthy redemption clause in Gothic script citing the Magistrat and the Flensburger Zeitungen. The issue date 'Flensburg, den 16. Januar 1920' appears in the lower centre, with the serial number printed vertically in red at the right margin. Four manuscript signatures appear at the foot, attributed to Der Magistrat and Das Stadtverordneten-Kollegium, with the printer's imprint 'GEBH. & KUNZE FLENSBURG' in the lower left corner. |
