Obverse description Notgeld issue printed in black and terracotta on pale pink paper, with an ornate foliate border frame. The denomination numeral '25' appears in a black oval cartouche at the top centre, flanked by the inscriptions 'NOTGELD' and 'LÜBBECKE i/W.' in Gothic lettering; the value in words 'Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig' is set in large Fraktur script across the centre. A central landscape vignette shows a panoramic townscape of Lübbecke, flanked on each side by the city's heraldic coat of arms displaying a castellated tower and crossed keys; the date 'den 8. Dez. 1920' and the magistrate's signature appear at the lower left and right respectively.

Reverse description Printed in black and terracotta on pale pink paper, the reverse is dominated by a large central oval vignette of the Rathaus in Lübbecke, a Gothic-style town hall with pointed arched windows and flanking trees, captioned 'RATHAUS IN LÜBBECKE i/W.' within the oval surround. The four corners each bear a bold black numeral '25', set against decorative foliate scrollwork in terracotta. A serial number and group designation appear at the top, with a validity clause in Fraktur script along the lower margin.
