正面铭文 Notgeld der Stadt
25 Pfennig
Sonneberg S.-M.
背面描述 Elaborate polychrome vignette in teal, green, and ochre, printed in a rounded cartouche format characteristic of Parcus-produced Notgeld. The upper register contains two facing figural vignettes — a female figure at left and a crowned or masked figure at right — separated by a stylised tree, surrounded by an array of small toy motifs (animals, a dollhouse, a wagon, drums) referencing Sonneberg's renowned toy-manufacturing industry. The centre panel bears the issue text and date with two manuscript signatures below. The lower register is occupied by two grotesque mask faces amid swirling foliate ornament, with the printer's imprint 'Gebr. Parcus, München' along the bottom margin.

备注

Sonneberg was the toy capital of Germany — by 1900 the town and its surrounding villages in the Thüringer Wald produced roughly half the world's toys, with a distribution network that reached department stores in New York and London. The Parcus brothers in Munich were among the busiest printers of Kleingeldscheine during the 1920–1921 shortage period, handling issues for dozens of Bavarian and central German municipalities when the postwar coin shortage made small-denomination paper an administrative necessity.

Sonneberg, despite sitting in the Duchy of Saxe-Meiningen rather than Bavaria, contracted Parcus for this series — a practical choice given the firm's capacity and established municipal printing relationships.
