| Obverse description | Orange-tinted notgeld voucher (Gutschein) printed on plain paper with a fine guilloche underprint, framed by a ruled border with circular denomination medallions bearing the numeral "25" at each corner and the year "1920" along both vertical margins. The upper legend reads in Ripuarian dialect "KOELLEN EYN KROIN" with a series designation in red at upper right, above the large denomination inscription "25 PFENNIG" and a serial number in a ruled cartouche. The lower half carries a three-line redemption text in German, dated "Köln, den 1. Okt. 1920", a red circular municipal seal at lower left, a facsimile signature of the Oberbürgermeister (Konrad Adenauer), and the printer's imprint "J. P. BACHEM, KÖLN"; the bottom legend reads in dialect "BOVEN ALLEN STEDEN SCHOIN". |
