Obverse description Printed in red-orange on cream paper, the obverse carries a detailed letterpress vignette of the Lauban town hall with its prominent clock tower along the left margin. The denomination "Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig" is inscribed in large Gothic script across the upper portion, with a serial number in the upper right corner. At centre, a validity notice states the note expires one month after announcement in the Laubaner Zeitungen, followed by the place and date "Lauban i. Schles., im Oktober 1920", the issuing authority "Der Magistrat" with a manuscript signature, and the numeral "25" in bold; a decorative vignette of civic emblems occupies the lower right, and an anti-counterfeiting legend runs along the bottom banner.

The denomination "25 Pfennig" appears in bold Gothic lettering in the upper right, and the city name "Sechsstadt Lauban i. Schles." is set in large display type at lower left.
