| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in brown and green on a stippled cream ground. A central octagonal vignette presents a pastoral riverside landscape with a large tree in the foreground and a stone bridge amid dense foliage in the background. Flanking the central image, Gothic-script text panels state the note's validity and redemption conditions. The denomination numeral '25' appears in stylized green and yellow in each upper corner, and the title 'Notgeld des Kreises Rotenburg i. H.' is set in bold Fraktur lettering across the top. A serial number panel in gold appears at the foot of the central vignette, with the date 'Am 1. Jan. 1920' and the printer's imprint 'Druck: Gebrüder Jänecke, Hannover' along the lower margin. |
