The municipal coat of arms of Guben — a heraldic shield charged with a twin-towered gateway surmounted by a crown — is centred on the face, flanked by large bold denomination numerals '25 Pf' in black letterpress; the heading 'Notgeld der Stadt Guben' runs across the top in Gothic blackletter script. The lower half carries the issue date 'Guben, den 1. Mai 1920', the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat', two facsimile manuscript signatures, the series designation 'Reihe I', a red serial number, a small-type redemption clause, and the printer's imprint at foot. |
