备注

Arnswalde — now Choszczno in northwestern Poland — was a mid-sized Brandenburg market town whose municipal government, like hundreds of others across Germany, resorted to Notgeld during the chronic small-change shortage that persisted well into the early Weimar period. The Stadt issued this 25 Pfennig through Adolf Forner of Leipzig, a commercial printer responsible for a substantial volume of provincial Notgeld work in this period, though never among the prestige houses.

The watermarked paper is the one detail worth noting: many Notgeld issues of this size and denomination dispensed with security features entirely, treating them as purely temporary scrip. Its inclusion here suggests either a cautious municipal treasurer or a standard stock paper Forner happened to be running at the time.
