| 备注 |
Cosel — now Koźle in Poland — issued this note during the Notgeld period, when hundreds of German municipalities were printing their own emergency small change to offset a chronic shortage of official coinage. The printer, Julius Fiedler Nachfolger, was based in Grünberg (present-day Zielona Góra), a Silesian printing centre that fulfilled contracts for numerous local authorities across the region during 1919–1921.
The timing matters: 1920 was the year of the Upper Silesian plebiscite, in which residents voted on whether the region would remain German or transfer to Poland. Cosel voted heavily to stay within Germany, which it did until 1945.
