| Descrizione del dritto | Light grey paper with an overall wave-pattern underprint. The denomination '25 Pfennige' is set in a bold central cartouche flanked by two oval denomination lozenges, with the word 'Gutschein über' above in large letterpress type. Four dark green oval corner pieces each bear the numeral '25', and an ornamental scrollwork border frames the entire note. Below the central cartouche, a three-line validity inscription states the note is redeemable only within the district of the Königliche Amtshauptmannschaft Zwickau until 31 December 1919, followed by a facsimile signature of the Amtshauptmann. |

Königliche Amtshauptmannschaft Zwickau — the Royal District Office of Zwickau — issued this emergency note in 1919, the title "Königliche" already anachronistic by the time of printing. The Saxon monarchy had collapsed in November 1918 with King Friedrich August III's abdication, yet the administrative bureaucracy continued operating under its old letterhead while the new republican order sorted itself out. The note is a product of that awkward interregnum.
Zwickau district Kleingeld shortages in early 1919 were acute, driven by coin hoarding and the collapse of normal currency supply chains during demobilization.
