At centre, a large brown intaglio vignette of the Wesel civic eagle with spread wings and a crown, set against decorative baroque scrollwork. The denomination '25' is printed in large bold script across the eagle vignette, flanked on either side by 'Pfennig' in cursive letterpress; the issuer inscription 'Gutschein der Stadt Wesel' runs across the upper portion in bold Fraktur script. The date 'ausgefellt im Jahre 1920' and the Bürgermeister's facsimile signature appear in the lower centre, with the serial number printed in red at lower left within a rectangular box. |
