| Obverse description | Printed in violet on white paper, the obverse is centred on the elaborately rendered coat of arms of Hildesheim, surrounded by baroque acanthus scrollwork with a female figure atop the cartouche. Denomination panels reading '25 Pfennig' appear in guilloche-bordered frames at left and right. Below, the issuing text, place, date of 18 October 1918, serial number in red, and a manuscript signature for Der Magistrat are arranged across the lower portion of the note. |

Flanking ornamental panels with sword and column motifs border the scene at left and right, while the lower portion bears the inscription identifying this as Kriegs-Notgeld of the City of Hildesheim. |
