| Obverse description | Pink-tinted notgeld on plain paper, set within an ornate letterpress border of interlocking foliate and floral motifs. The upper portion carries a serial number at left, a validity clause ('Gültig bis zum 15. Mai 1919') at centre, and the denomination '25 Pf.' in bold at upper right; below, the principal legend in Fraktur script reads 'Gutschein der Stadt Einbeck über Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig', accompanied by a central vignette of the Einbeck town coat of arms. Redemption text, place and date of issue ('Einbeck, im Mai 1917'), and two manuscript signatures appear in the lower register above the printer's imprint of Gebrüder Jänecke, Hannover. |
