Obverse description Green and cream letterpress Kriegsgeld (emergency money) note with an ornate guilloche underprint framing the entire face. At centre, a circular vignette encloses a tall palm tree in a landscape setting with the date 1914 below, superimposed on a radiating sunburst and an Iron Cross motif in green. The denomination '25 Pfennig' appears in bold Fraktur script in both the left and right panels, with the issuing authority legend in Fraktur across the top and bottom, and a manuscript signature of the Stadtgemeindevorstand below. The printer's imprint 'Reineck & Klein, Weimar' appears in small type at the lower centre, with the issue year '19 17' incorporated into the lower corners of the border.
