Obverse description Notgeld (emergency currency) voucher printed in black and olive-yellow on plain paper, with an octagonal-cornered rectangular border. To the left, the denomination numeral '25' is set within a guilloche rosette circle, with 'Pfennig' in bold Gothic letterpress to its right, flanked above by wavy-line ornamental bands. A red serial number and asterisk appear in the upper right. To the far right, a vignette in black letterpress depicts the historic Wernigerode town hall with its distinctive twin spires. The lower field carries the issuing authority text, date of 18 February 1920, an oval magistrate seal, and a manuscript signature under the caption 'Der Magistrat'.
