Ornate foliate border panels in grey flank the central scene at left and right, each containing a denomination numeral '25' at the lower corner. Opmerkingen

Lähn im Riesengebirge — now Wleń, in southwestern Poland — was a small Silesian town whose municipal savings bank issued this Notgeld during the hyperinflationary period when central currency supply simply could not meet local demand. These fractional emergency issues were a practical fix, not a monetary experiment. Thousands of German municipalities did the same between 1917 and 1923.

Carl Flemming & T. C. Wiskott A.G. of Glogau was one of Silesia's more prolific Notgeld printers, handling commissions for dozens of small issuers across the region. Glogau itself, now Głogów, passed to Poland after 1945.
