Obverse description The Argentine National Coat of Arms is centrally displayed in the field, rendered in fine relief and framed by two concentric circular lines. The surrounding legend bears the inscription 'REPVBLICA ARGENTINA' along the upper arc and the denomination and date '$ 25 : 2002' along the lower arc. Flanking the central shield are the small national shields of the participating Ibero-American nations, representing the member countries of the V Ibero-American Coin Series. The overall design is executed in a formal heraldic style consistent with Argentine state coinage traditions.
