Obverse description	The obverse is printed in black on cream paper with a horizontal layout. At upper centre, the bank title EL BANCO POPULAR is set in bold serif lettering, flanked by the numeral 25 in decorative panels at each corner. To the left, an oval vignette shows two cherubic figures among foliage in a classical allegorical style, while to the right a pastoral vignette presents a seated female figure resting beside a sheep and lamb in an open landscape. The central text reads VEINTE Y CINCO PESOS EN MONEDA CORRIENTE below the promise to pay clause, with the place and date Bogotá a 1 de Enero de 1882 inscribed in manuscript style, and serial number and series designation printed above.

Reverse description	The reverse is printed in brown on plain paper, dominated by a central rectangular guilloche panel bearing the numeral 25 in large format at left and right. A stamped overprint in red is visible at centre. The upper portion carries a multi-line text block declaring provisional circulation as a Banco Nacional note per government decree, dated Bogotá, Octubre 30 de 1899, with handwritten signatures of the Ministro del Tesoro and members of the Junta de Emisión below.
