| Obverse description | Central device features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed, with spread wings, each head shown in profile facing outward. The eagle's breast bears an escutcheon depicting the Finnish lion rampant, armed with a sword. The left talon holds a sceptre and the right a globus cruciger; notably, the imperial crown above the eagle's heads is absent on this Civil War issue, distinguishing it from earlier types. The mint mark 'S' appears in the lower field beneath the eagle's tail. The coin is struck within a beaded border. |
