| 背面描述 | A winged Eros (Cupid) is depicted standing in full figure, facing right, drawing a bow with arrow aimed to the right in a dynamic, classical pose. The figure is rendered in a finely detailed neoclassical style, with large feathered wings spread behind him and a decorative floral spray at his feet in the lower field. The surrounding legend, divided to either side of the figure, reads 'ELIZABETH AND PHILIP' above, with the commemorative dates '1947' at lower left and '1972' at lower right, flanked by small star ornaments. |

Guernsey issued this crown-sized commemorative to mark the 25th wedding anniversary of Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 1972. The Channel Islands — as Crown Dependencies rather than part of the United Kingdom — hold the right to issue their own coinage, which gave Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man each the opportunity to produce independent commemorative pieces for the same occasion. All three did.
The 28.28g copper-nickel specification was by this point a deliberate Commonwealth standard, adopted after silver was abandoned for circulation coinage in the late 1960s.
